Festival season is just around the corner!

Celebrate summer with festival week from July 14-17 and visit The Central PA Festival of the Arts in downtown State College and on Penn State’s campus, People’s Choice Festival (held at the Grange Fairgrounds for the first time this year!) and Heritage Days in Philipsburg.

Field-to-fork dining is in season

Happy Valley is surrounded by farms that provide amazing, seasonal produce to local restaurants. Check out Creekside at the Gamble Mill in Bellefonte, Elk Creek Cafe in Millheim, along with Gigi’s Southern Table, RE Farm Cafe and Pine Grove Hall in State College for menus that highlight foods fresh from the field.

There is so, so much to do

Summer puts the “happy” in Happy Valley. Vote on best wings (while enjoying live music) at Wingfest at Tussey Mountain. Head out to Bellefonte for Fridays in the ’Fonte, Bellefonte Cruise and Under the Lights. Take ‘em out to the ballgame with the Spikes.

Family fun is everywhere

Enjoy cave and wildlife tours at Penn’s Cave & Wildlife Park — America’s only all-water cavern and wildlife adventure. Explore the Centre County GeoTour geocaching trail. Get outside and bike the Harvest Fields Community Trails. Or, take a hike up iconic Mount Nittany with your future Penn Stater. Top it off with a visit to the Berkey Creamery!
