Centre Region Parks and Recreation Agency (CRPR) sent The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau an email this morning to announce that a new and very fun project has just opened at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center.

CRPR has added color and cheerfulness along the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center’s Boardwalk to encourage Happy Valley residents and visitors to get outside and enjoy nature. We want to lift people’s spirits during the winter months!

27 art pieces have been installed along the boardwalk. Many pieces are hanging from trees either right along the boardwalk or just off the boardwalk, and the colorful pieces really POP as you walk along the trail. The art has been designed by community residents (and a few by CRPR staff) for everyone's enjoyment! You will see art pieces that incorporate water, animals, trees, landscapes, and more.

The ArtWalk will remain in place from Monday, February 8 through Sunday, February 21, so we encourage everyone to bundle up, get outdoors, and enjoy a stroll along the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center boardwalk. You might also see some Whitetail deer, Mallard ducks, rabbits, wintering birds, and more! At the trailhead, you’ll find an Artist’s Brochure that has a photo of each art piece, the name and age of each artist, and a little about their art piece. You can also download that brochure in advance at this link: https://bit.ly/3rznGfP

The Millbrook Marsh Nature Center boardwalk is open from dawn to dusk each day; the boardwalk isn’t maintained in the winter months, so please wear sturdy boots and be prepared for some snow and ice during these colder temperatures. The ArtWalk is free/ If you have any additional questions, please contact us at 814-231-3071 or crpr@crcog.netThe Centre Region Parks and Recreation Agency (CRPR) is please to announce that a new and very fun project has just opened at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center.
