The Soul Benders

Hailing from Ithaca, NY, The Soul Benders is a rock blues band led by the powerhouse vocals of Cisco PL. With a repertoire that includes soul-stirring originals and reimagined rock and blues classics, The Soul Benders is a force to be reckoned with. Whether they’re playing in intimate venues or festivals, their music has an undeniable sound that draws listeners in, making them an unforgettable experience for music lovers of all genres. The band’s sound is driven by Tobias Whitaker and Brett Hayhurst on guitar and Joe LaFave on keys, Jason Gorman on bass and Bowman on drums. Award-winning Philadelphia native Christine Havrilla brings her “well-built, catchy, smart tunes” (Upstage Magazine) to audiences everywhere, touring solo and also with the support of her band, Gypsy Fuzz. Christine utilizes the soft gritty texture of her vocals to express warmth and honesty listeners quickly embrace as well as her aggressive, raw, trash-style guitar playing and looping. The start of 2024 finds the full band in the recording studio creating the next EP to be released in the Spring!

The 8 Ohms Band is a powerhouse lineup of players from all over the DC metro area. Bringing heaping doses of Horn Heavy Funk! Drawing from diverse musical backgrounds, The 8 Ohms are known for blurring the lines between hard groove, funk, soul, reggae and a slight taste of DC’s own go-go music. Regardless of the music, the energy is undeniable & the 8 Ohms are masters at keeping the dance floor moving!

The 8 Ohms Band has been honing their style since 2007. Having backed up or supported some the biggest names on the some of the biggest stages to come through the DMV, The 8 Ohms Band name has been directly associated to some of the best in the business!
