This summer, there are plenty of opportunities to drop in and get to know the new Palmer Museum of Art. Explore the new building with a Palmer guide and enjoy an introduction to the newly reinstalled permanent collection, along with a brief introduction to two special exhibitions.

The Palmer Museum of Art will host a bevy of events all summer long! Make sure you attend at least one if not all!

Sunday, July 14, 2:00 p.m.

  • MADE in PA with Erin M. Coe, Palmer Museum Director, and Joyce Robinson, Assistant Director

Thursday, August 1, 6:00 p.m.

  • The Art of Teaching: Medical Education and the Integrated Curriculum with Dr. Mike Flanagan and Dr. Mark Stephens, Penn State Medical School

Summer Drop-in Tours:

  • Meet the Museum - various dates between June 5 and August 4
  • Gallery Talks on Special Exhibitions - Thursday, July 11, 6 p.m. | Sunday, July 14, 2 p.m. | Thursday, August 1, 6 p.m
  • Yoga at the Palmer - Thursdays, July 11 – August 8, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
  • Adult Workshop: Sneaker Painting - Saturday, July 13, 1 to 5 p.m.
  • Adult Class: Introduction to Plein Art Painting - Six Saturdays: July 20–August 24, 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Art & Mindfulness - Tuesday, July 30, 1 to 2:30 p.m.
  • Art in the Garden: Sun Prints at the Arboretum - Wednesday, July 31, 10 a.m. to noon

2024 Kids’ Summer Camps

  • Museum Camp: Pressing Prints - July 22–26, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Museum Camp: Art & Nature - July 29–August 2, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m
