New Ground Orchestra to Perform for Free in Recital Hall July 25th, 2025
The Penn State School of Music's Recital Hall will be hosting the New Ground Orchestra Festival on July 25th, 2025, at 7:30 pm. The concert will be a gathering of professional women musicians from all over the world. The goal? To bring joy, helping hands, and create beautiful music.

Created by Rebekah O'Brien, a Penn State School of Music graduate, the festival hopes to give musicians time to strengthen individual health as a performer and build meaningful relationships with colleagues and the local community!
O'Brien will be joined by guest artists Denise Dillenbeck and Nancy Ives. Admission is FREE with optional donations to Centre Safe!
The program will include:
- Coriolan Overture
Ludwig Van Beethoven - Immortal Beloved (Denise Dillenbeck, violin)
Nancy Ives
East-Coast Premiere! - Symphony No. 4 "Italian"
Felix Mendelssohn
In addition to the free concert, the musicians will also volunteer their time with selected non-profit organizations, including Clearwater Conservatory.
