AAUW State College to Hold 63rd Annual Used Book Sale May 17-20
The AAUW State College annual Used Book Sale is planned for Saturday through Tuesday, May 17-20, in the Penn State Snider Agricultural Arena, 800 E. Park Avenue, across from Beaver Stadium on Penn State’s University Park campus. The sale will run from 9 am to 8 pm on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and 9 am to 7 pm on Tuesday, May 20.

More than 150,000 books, games, puzzles, CDs, and DVDs will be available for purchase, making this one of the largest used book sales in the country. All have been donated throughout the year by local community members, and sorted and priced by volunteers at the AAUW State College workshop.
Books are separated into 30 different categories, and there is something for everyone. To learn more about the sale, visit bit.ly/AAUWBookSale. While many shoppers tend to come first thing Saturday morning, there will be a wide selection of books all four days, so plan your visit accordingly.
Penn State safety regulations limit the total number of people in the arena at any one time to 450 people. This sometimes leads to a wait for Saturday morning shoppers who are not among the first group of people to be admitted.

Of special note are the books in the Special Editions Room! Books in this room date from the late 1800s to the modern day, and below is just a sampling of what is available:
- Tales of Mystery and Imagination by Edgar Allen Poe (1935) - $100
- Seinfeld Collection (2015) - complete DVD series; boxed; includes puffy shirt, etc.) - $35
- Set of 56 Doctor Who paperbacks (Assorted years) - $400
