The Centre County Historical Committee will present the John H. Ziegler Historic Preservation Awards at the American Philatelic Society at 100 Match Factory Place in Bellefonte, Pa on Sunday, January 19, 2025. The program will start at 3 pm.

The Centre County Historical Society has annually recognized individuals and organizations for their outstanding work in preserving and interpreting Centre County history. The John H. Ziegler Historic Preservation Awards have been awarded annually since 1988. Light refreshments will be available.

This year's recipients are:

• Preservation and Restoration - Liz Grove - Pine Grove Hall
• History and Heritage - Potter Township Heritage Day Committee - Potter Township 250 Heritage Day 2024
• Education and Advocacy - Bellefonte Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution - Centre County American Revolution Soldiers and Patriots by Nancy Stover
• Support and Volunteerism - Renea Nichols
• 2024 CCHS Awards - Jacqueline J. Melander Award - Philip Ruth
• President’s Award - Penn State Alumni Association - Penn State Historical Marker Program

The presentation will last for about one hour and will be recorded by C-Net and made available on CentreHistory.org and on C-Net. To attend the award ceremony, an RSVP must be given electronically.
