David Murray and Kahil El'Zabar at Manny's Monday June 16th
Get ready for a night of boundary-breaking sound and soul-stirring improvisation. Two giants of avant-garde jazz and spiritual expression are making their way to State College, and the buzz is already electric. Come on out Monday, June 16 at Manny’s Live Performance Space for an unforgettable, all-ages performance that promises to bend genres, lift spirits, and leave us all breathless.

David Murray is a true giant of the saxophone, co-founder of the World Saxophone Quartet, and one of the most recorded jazz musicians of our time—his sound blends deep blues, free jazz, and soul with ferocious originality.
Kahil El’Zabar, percussionist, composer, and healer, has been a driving force of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) and a global ambassador for rhythm, spirit, and sound.
Together, their decades-long collaboration channels something cosmic—raw, resonant, and deeply moving. To experience it live, in the intimate setting of Manny’s, is beyond special.
