Mark your calendars now! Happy Valley Restaurant Week returns June 16–25, 2023
For the last several years, Happy Valley Restaurant Week (the revamped take on the prior Happy Valley Culinary Week) has delighted Centre County residents and visitors alike with can’t-miss culinary offerings from the region’s best restaurants. This year’s event is slated for June 16-25. Mark your calendars — you don’t want to miss what’s in store.
Happy Valley takes a unique approach to its Restaurant Week event, forgoing the typical, three-course, prix fixe menus for something different, fresh and exciting from every restaurant, all depending on what an individual eatery might feel best shows off their culinary chops — whether that be a three-course, fine-dining experience or just a really amazing burger, pizza or pastry.
For the 2022 event, more than 20 restaurants participated, with limited-time menu offerings ranging from a turkey tostada with grilled turkey breast, fresh tomato salsa, cilantro, black beans and corn ranchero sauce and lime crema at The Corner Room in downtown State College, to an almond frangipane tart with blueberry and yuzu jam at The Cakeshop by Tati in Pleasant Gap.
This year, restaurants are already hard at work planning special experiences for foodies — and, for the first time, those foodies will have even more time to take it all in.
Happy Valley Restaurant Week 2023 has expanded to 10 days of deliciousness, following a chef's suggestion after last year. Eaters have more time to get to their favorite spots, and restaurants that are only open part of the week get a few more days to show off their culinary creations. We're excited to keep expanding our list of participating restaurants this year!” said Maggie Anderson, event organizer and local food writer. “As always, it's just a super fun week for everyone in Centre County to celebrate the start of summer with some delicious food at their favorite local restaurants.”
