Boal Museum Classical Music Series for Spring 2022!

Sundays on April 24, May 8, and May 22

The Columbus Chapel & Boal Mansion Museum announces this year’s Spring Classical Music Series beginning Sunday, April 24, with Piano Duo Azul, featuring Hyeyoung Song and Amy Gustafson playing piano four-hands. The concert will be held in the Mansion Ballroom at 3 pm.

Training Offered with ClearWater Conservancy

Pennsylvania Master Naturalist, a nonprofit organization, will train citizen volunteers in the natural sciences in partnership with ClearWater Conservancy. The course will take place at Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center from August 4th – October 27th. Classes will meet weekly on Thursdays from 6:00 – 8:30 pm and for four Saturday field sessions on August 13th, September 3rd and 17th, and October 8th. COVID safety protocols will be followed, and proof of vaccination will be required.

“I wish I could bottle this energy and excitement” Leadership Centre County’s Zach Barton on servant leadership, coming back to Happy Valley, and the perfect football weekend

Zach Barton has spent his entire career as a servant leader, mentoring the next generation. After graduating from Penn State, he became a case manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern New Jersey for three years, then joined the Centre County Youth Service Bureau. During six years at the YSB, he was the program director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre, Mifflin, and Juniata Counties and then the organization’s development director. In 2020, he became executive director of Leadership Centre County, guiding the organization through the pandemic while keeping true to their mission of educating participants about the needs, available services and opportunities, and issues in our community.
