Events are not the only thing the Arboretum offers in the coming months. The Childhood's Gate Children's Garden will be offering many activities for the young ones such as:
- The Glass House features a custom tree-foot succulent sphere. This imaginative piece, comprised of 11 different types of succulents, is truly a sight to see!
- Additions to the Children's Garden include an extension of the fence and a pathway connecting to a new rock picnic area. When finished, it will allow groups to leave the children’s garden and enjoy the new stone sitting area easily and safely.
- Inside the extended fence area is also a new addition from last fall, the Moon Tree. The Moon Tree is a four-foot-tall American sycamore sapling grown from a seed that orbited the moon.
- The Children's Garden beds will have a full spring bulb display with seven different varieties of bulbs and then transition to a mixed flower and vegetable display for this summer.
Remember, visiting the Arboretum and the land beyond is completely free, so it is a wonderful budget and family friendly outing!
