As Centre County’s destination marketing organization, The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau’s (HVAB) mission is to promote all that is special about the communities and valleys that comprise our one big Happy Valley, PA. For HVAB leadership and staff, championing the county as a fantastic place to visit, live, conduct business and work is something proudly done in and outside of the office. In a month that celebrates love, some HVAB team members share what they personally adore about Happy Valley.

The Penn State choral community will relive the opening night of the Center for the Performing Arts’ home base at 8 p.m. Friday, April 25, in Eisenhower Auditorium with members of Penn State choirs past and present join in song for “50 Forward: Beethoven’s Ninth Revisited.”

Pennsylvania artists will perform alongside Delaware state professional vocal ensemble Elevation to sing hymns and spirituals that celebrate the legacy of the civil-rights champion.

The Centre County Historical Committee will present the John H. Ziegler Historic Preservation Awards at the American Philatelic Society at 100 Match Factory Place in Bellefonte, Pa on Sunday, January 19, 2025. The program will start at 3 pm.

Plants might not be growing, and the skies might be snowing, but this winter and spring Centre Stage's shows will not be slowing! Penn State's Professional Theatre Training Program will offer three must-see performances during the upcoming months.

Linda & Steve Weaver, the proprietors of Mount Nittany Winery & Vineyard, are grateful for a wonderful 2024 and are already making plans for 2025. Mount Nittany Winery will add two new dry wines - a dry Riesling and a Cuvée Blanc (Sauvignon Blanc aged in oak barrels) and continue Bingo with Beth, which will be offered monthly on a Friday night. Other plans include monthly wine and food-tasting events and a trivia night with a professional MC.

But there is still much to do at the vineyard this December.
