A calming, creative space for all: Very Veronica Art opens inside Titan Energy Park

– by Ellen Matis

One of the newest businesses within Titan Energy Park in Bellefonte is an art studio that is giving kids, families, and creatives of all experience levels a space to slow down and make something meaningful. Very Veronica Art, owned by local artist Veronica Yoder, is now open and offers public classes, private parties, and camps focused on fun, functional art.

"It has been exciting to see more new businesses opening up in Bellefonte over the years, and I wanted to be a part of the positive growth of this area," Veronica says. “I feel like the Bellefonte community really makes an effort to reach out and support new businesses.”

She says Bellefonte’s appreciation for the arts—from community murals to seasonal events like Victorian Christmas—made it the perfect home for her studio. “Bellefonte also is receptive to art and artists—from the amazing new mural that was painted recently by the Waffle Shop, to the Titan Market, to the Bellefonte Victorian Christmas and Winter Market event that allowed me to exhibit my own artwork in Talleyrand Park, which was a lot of fun.”

Veronica’s goal is to create a welcoming space that’s both family-friendly and art-oriented. Her projects often have a functional twist—art that gets used and enjoyed, not just stuck to the fridge. “I prefer choosing art projects that serve a purpose or have a function but also are aesthetically pleasing as well.”

That intentionality sets the tone inside her studio. “Two of the most satisfying comments that I have heard from creators that have made an art project in my studio so far are how relaxing and calming the experience was for them, and also how they liked that the art they made is not just art that gets displayed on the front of their refrigerator with magnets, that the art they made is something they will actually keep and use.”

She adapts the environment—music, lighting, and overall vibe—to the needs of the creators. “Above all, I hope that when a creator walks through my studio doors, they feel welcome, relaxed, and that they have fun!”

Very Veronica Art offers public classes for children, teens, and adults, often themed around holidays and seasons. There are also private art parties for birthdays, youth groups, homeschoolers, or just friends looking to get creative together. Four weeks of summer art camps are coming up soon.

With a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a focus on creativity with purpose, Very Veronica Art is already becoming a favorite stop for locals and visitors alike. “I have already met so many new people and connected with other Bellefonte business owners and entrepreneurs, which has been really fun,” Veronica says. “The studio just opened, so I can't wait to see where it goes in the months ahead!”
