The Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest is the premier event for craft beer lovers and Penn State fans. Held for the first time in 2024, the Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest took place on the field of Beaver Stadium at the Pennsylvania State University campus. These are hallowed grounds for any Penn State Football fan. This beer festival was a celebration of Pennsylvania breweries and other breweries with ties to Happy Valley, featuring 75 different craft beverage producers sampling their creations for the attendees.

As a food influencer and craft beer lover, I used it as a great opportunity for someone living on one side of Pennsylvania to sample craft beers and beverages from other parts of the state. One of my favorite aspects of the 2024 event was the early admission ticket, where I could sample special beers with limited availability. Many breweries brought special stouts or collaboration beers that were only available until they ran out.

The Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest is about more than just the beer: The 2024 event featured live music all day. Throughout the afternoon, a stage was set up on the 50-yard line with different bands. This was the first beer festival I attended that gave us refillable water bottles to make sure we properly rinsed our tasting glasses between samples and to help us stay hydrated.

The most amazing part? Getting to spend all afternoon on the Beaver Stadium field. For many like myself who are not athletes or who don’t play a musical instrument, there’s not a chance to be on the field of one of the largest stadiums in the world. This was an opportunity to look up at those stands from a different perspective and see the enormous greatness of Beaver Stadium.

The festival was hosted by State College-based brewery Antifragile Brewing Company, in collaboration with Breweries of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association, The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau, the Happy Valley Sports & Entertainment Alliance, and the Central Pennsylvania Tasting Trail.

Antifragile Brewing Company, in collaboration with The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau and Happy Valley Sports & Entertainment Alliance, is joining forces to host the return of the Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest on July 19, 2025, at Porter North Lot attached to Medlar Field.

Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest will host an expected 75+ breweries from Pennsylvania and surrounding states, featuring a wide selection of beverages catering to every palate.
