Laurin Goad Davis is an architectural historian working in the Architecture and Landscape Architecture Library at Penn State. She's written on school facilities and women in architecture. In her current role, she creates metadata for the Central Pennsylvania Architecture and Landscape Architecture Digital Collection and works on other local architecture projects for the Libraries.
Just because the football season is winding down, it doesn't mean Downtown State College will stop being the place to go in November! Travelers will have plenty of things to do culminating with the release of the 4th Annual Happy Valley Holiday Ornament on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday on the 30th.

Join the fun in this 5-week program intended to improve the skiing or riding skills of kids, four years old through 5th grade. This is a non-competitive program for all levels, from first-timers to skiers and riders ripping comfortably all over the mountain. Tussey Mountain's goal is to improve each child’s skills and confidence while having fun, building friendships, and developing a life-long love of the sport.
Some would think that the position of feature twirler of the Penn State Blue Band started at the same time the Majorettes started. However, the Blue Band Majorettes were founded in 1972 and the official feature twirler position did not start until 1974.
