Bellefontes Outdoor Adventure Expo 2023 Planned for Spring
The Outdoor Adventure Expo, a free-admission event organized and hosted by Downtown Bellefonte, Inc., highlights the easily accessible natural assets and resources of Bellefonte and the surrounding area by bringing together a dynamic showcase of about 80 vendors and organizations. This year’s expo is scheduled from noon-5 PM on May 21 at Talleyrand Park.
The expo features non-profits and businesses from around the region that specialize in outdoor recreation and related products.
The annual event was previously held in October, but weather simply did not cooperate in recent years. Spring is a perfect time for the event as residents and visitors plan their warmer-weather adventures around Happy Valley, Pennsylvania.
Lead organizer Troy Weston said, “Spring is the best time of the year! Folks are dusting off their old gear and planning their adventures. I see the new date as an opportunity for more people to learn about outdoor activities and to see what outdoor activities interest them.”
For 2023, the expo has an exciting variety of new outdoor related vendors signing up. Hiking, biking and fishing opportunities are well-represented this year. “We hope to keep expanding and are always looking for all outdoor related businesses and groups to sign-up,” Weston said.
“The main things that I am excited about for the event May 21, 2023: the food vendors and beverage vendors available will be amazing and the outdoor-related groups and vendors have expanded from last year,” he added. “We are excited to showcase them all within Talleyrand Park. There will be more children's activities for 2023 and an amazing assortment of craft vendors focused on the outdoors and natural ingredients.”
Mini Music Fest is back for this year’s event thanks to a partnership with Arize Federal Credit Union. An exciting line-up of musicians from varied genres are scheduled:
South Bound 2pm-3pm
CentreFuges 3:30pm-4:40pm
