The Millbrook Theatre ends the summer strong with two great plays, a ball, and a wonderful summer camp for teens. You do not want to end your summer without seeing or participating in at least one of these events!

8-Track - The Sounds of the Seventies - August 9 through 18

Put on your leisure suits, halter tops, and platform shoes, and get ready to boogie down through ten years of groundbreaking music! With its propulsive rhythms and dazzling harmonies, this fast-paced musical romp through one of the most impassioned decades of the 20th century features the music of The Emotions, The Carpenters, Labelle, Barry Manilow, Marvin Gaye, The Doobie Brothers, The Bee Gees, Helen Reddy, KC and the Sunshine Band, and more! Rediscover the heart and soul of the forgotten decade with this joyously rousing, moving, and often downright hilarious musical in concert. Rated PG.

The Disco Ball - August 17

Join us at Millbrook Playhouse for our first-ever “Disco Ball” on Aug. 17th! Enjoy a live performance of “8-Track, Sounds of the ‘70s In Concert,” themed cocktails, delicious food, a 70s-themed photo booth, a costume contest, trivia, and an MPH-DJ spinning classic tunes. Teen Performing Arts Academy - August 12 through 24

The Teen Performing Arts Academy (TPAA) Is designed to enrich, uplift, and enlighten students who are serious about the Performing Arts. The Academy is the perfect opportunity for dedicated performers to learn and hone their craft in an experience that includes professional training and mimics a professional rehearsal schedule. Students will hone their talents as actors, singers, and dancers by learning from working professional actors and directors.

The program culminates in a public performance of “Into the Woods. Jr.” A new take on Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s groundbreaking musical fairytale about wishes and the choices we make.
