Mount Nittany Health presents the return of the annual event at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park

(STATE COLLEGE, Pa.) – SpikesFest 2022, presented by Mount Nittany Health and media partner WTAJ, makes its triumphant return this Saturday, April 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the home of the Spikes, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Admission is free for this family carnival, and fans can make plans to enjoy plenty of great activities throughout the ballpark.

SpikesFest 2022 will feature the start of single-game ticket sales for all 40 home games on the 2022 Spikes home schedule, making it the biggest regular season in franchise history. In addition, SpikesFest 2022 will be the first chance for fans to pick up Season Tickets and redeem their Flex Book vouchers for the MLB Draft League season.

In addition, fans can bid now in the SpikesFest Charity Auction of sports and entertainment memorabilia items, with all proceeds to benefit the Mount Nittany Health Foundation. The auction is now live on the LiveSource app and online at https://bit.ly/SpikesFestCharityAuction2022.

Collectibles featured in the auction include a Franco Harris Autographed Steelers Jersey, a Penn State “Linebacker U” Framed Photo signed by Sean Lee, Paul Poszluszny, Dan Connor, Jack Ham, Shane Conlan, LaVar Arrington, Michael Mauti and Andre Collins, a Miles Sanders Autographed Eagles Mini-Helmet, a “Mighty Ducks” Hockey Jersey signed by the cast, a Trace McSorley Autographed Penn State Jersey, a Mike Tyson Autographed Punch-Out Photo Framed with an NES Controller, and more.

The fun doesn't stop there, as Spikes on-field host Jerry Valeri leads the way for the day. Kids can participate in an Easter Egg Hunt at the ballpark and fans of all ages can test their pipes at the National Anthem Tryouts, back in a live setting for the first time in several years. National Anthem Tryouts will take place in Suites 519 and 520, with a blue ribbon panel that includes Angela and Jason from B94.5’s Morning Getaway.

Spikes fans can also get information on gameday jobs available in nearly every department for this season with a Spikes Job Fair, as well as information on becoming a Host Family for the 2022 Spikes season.

Plus, fans can enjoy inflatable games, appearances from Spikes mascots like Ike the Spike and LuCKy the Lion, an interactive vehicle display from Lion Country Kia, a performance by the Nittany Dreamers, interactive displays from Discovery Space of Central PA, the chance to adopt a pet from Centre County PAWS, and fun activities from the Center for Arts and Crafts at Penn State, Centre Life Link EMS, Centre County CYS, the Juniata Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Centre Wildlife Care, Mind, Body, Art School of Dance, Centre Safe, Centre County HOPE, The Jared Box Project, Bald Eagle State Park, the Patton Township Police Department, CATA, Adam Swartz Puppets, Get Air, Bricks 4 Kids, Taste Buds Kitchen, the Nittany Valley Sports Centre and more.
