State Theatre to host screenwriter Andrew Walker at Special Screening of "Se7en"
The State Theatre, in conjunction with the Happy Valley Comic and Collectibles Convention, The Penn State Bellisario School of Communications, and The Happy Valley Sports and Entertainment Alliance, will have a special showing of the movie Se7en at 7 pm on February 28, 2025.
The movie was written by Penn State alumnus Andrew Kevin Walker and stars Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman.
Walker is a 1986 graduate of Penn State University and is best known for writing the film Se7en (1995) screenplay, which earned him a BAFTA nomination for Best Original Screenplay. He has numerous movies under his belt including: Brainscan, Hideaway, Sleepy Hollow, Nerdland, and The Killer. Walker also "script doctored" many films including: Event Horizon, The Game and Fight Club.
The State Theatre will show the movie Se7en (which celebrates its 30th anniversary) on February 28, 2025. After the film, the theatre will host a Q&A with Walker. Before the film, with the financial help of The Happy Valley Sports and Entertainment Alliance, there will be a special Meet-and-Greet with the filmmaker from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Tickets to the Meet-and-Greet ($30) and to the movie($15, $13 students) are available online.
Walker will be a guest at the Happy Valley Comic and Collectibles Convention on March 1 and 2, 2025 at the Nittany Valley Sports Centre, and will be signing autographs Sunday from Noon to 5 pm. Discounted Pre-Order Tickets to the convention can be obtained here before February 15, 2025.
