A life-long Pennsylvania resident; Ed enjoys family activities, hiking, photography, community events, the arts, history and travel. Ed visited Happy Valley frequently in the 80s and lived here from 1991-2008. He is very happy to be back and sharing Happy Valley stories with the world.

Shaver’s Creek’s annual fundraiser, the Birding Cup brings birders of all skill levels together to identify as many species as possible in 24 hours. Eric Loop is the president of the board of directors of the Mount Nittany Conservancy, a public charity dedicated to conserving Mount Nittany in its natural state for the benefit of Happy Valley. For him, it was a natural next step after growing up in its shadow, hiking and camping on it all his life.
