A feeling with no name - “purple” - is inspiration for an interactive performance that celebrates the diversity and solidarity of our community.

A concert featuring popular local musicians will benefit five agencies working to increase housing security and fight homelessness in the Centre region. The second annual “Gimme Shelter: The Concert for Housing Security in the Centre Region” will be presented at the South Hills School of Business and Technology in State College on Thursday, February 6, 2025, starting at 6 p.m.

The State Theatre, in conjunction with the Happy Valley Comic and Collectibles Convention, The Penn State Bellisario School of Communications, and The Happy Valley Sports and Entertainment Alliance, will have a special showing of the movie Se7en at 7 pm on February 28, 2025.

Enjoy the familiar sounds of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite and sing along with Handel’s Hallelujah from Messiah, featuring a collaboration with State College Advanced String Orchestra students. The sixth annual Centre Film Festival recently wrapped after bringing nearly 200 thought-provoking independent films spanning multiple genres and formats to audiences in theatres throughout Happy Valley, PA, as well as to virtual audiences throughout the Commonwealth.

The Centre County Historical Society (CCHS) will be hosting a winter market as well as a special Civil War presentation entitled The Dress this December. Founded in 1904, the CCHS is the oldest and largest history organization in the county, serving as the official historical society of Centre County.
