Lemont is a charming bedroom community filled with historic homes just a few miles from State College. With lots of events and the iconic Mount Nittany Trailhead, it is a charming small town worth the visit.

Hotels and restaurants in Pennsylvania are regulated industries and have always adhered to a strict cleanliness protocol. Due to the current crisis, there are even more heightened “New Normal” cleanliness, public safety and health protocols in every industry.

Centre County’s move into green was welcome news. We are not out of the woods yet with regard to health concerns related to COVID-19. However, the re-opening of businesses, even with restrictions in place, is another step forward in an eventual return to normal. Till then, our hard-hit restaurants, retail shops, lodging facilities and attractions are navigating a host of new operating procedures and implementing enhanced safety standards all designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep customers safe.

Whether you are a seasoned and nuanced aficionado or just starting to explore the complex character and flavor notes of whiskey and bourbon, these Happy Valley establishments are serving up traditional favorites alongside inventive cocktail options.

With recent new entrants to the local burger scene joining established favorites, Happy Valley provides burger connoisseurs with plenty of options to satisfy their cravings for the iconic menu item. The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau (HVAB) decided to stage a friendly competition among some of Happy Valley’s most popular restaurants, asking each to provide their best burger for a staff taste test. Burgers were rated based on flavor, quality, the bun and other components.
