Rt. 45 Getaways, featuring over 30 destinations that highlight local farms, small businesses, and artists along the Rt. 45 corridor, will return for its third year July 28 through August 6.

State College dancer and choreographer Ann Van Kuren comes from the generation of dance instruction that revered a solid ballet technique. Modern dance styles weren’t even included in the lessons. It wasn’t until college that she fell under the spell of modern, expressive dance.

In August 2022, Leah Mueller and Jared Yarnall-Schane purchased Singing Onstage, a long-time musical theater training program that offers classes to students ages 5 through 18.

The 57th Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts kicks off TODAY with our special Children and Youth Day from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This day is devoted to young artists, young performers, and the young at heart. “The Nittany Valley Running Club’s Arts Festival Races are the oldest races in Central Pennsylvania, so we are pleased to announce that after a brief hiatus, the 10-mile, 5K, and Kids Fun Run events will be returning this summer on a new site as the 45th Sue Crowe Memorial Arts Festival Races,” according to Pamela Snyder Etters, Executive Director of the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts.
